The Peak Ed Direct Admission Initiative allows ALL high school seniors across the Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs area to now be admitted to participating colleges and universities – no applications required. Through this direct admission approach, students are recognized for their hard work with no stress, no applications, and no rejections. It’s a simpler, more supportive way to start the college journey.

All high school seniors in Colorado with full 3 years’ worth of grades - Must complete Match profile by October 9th to be eligible to receive direct admission offers on October 20th.

What is Direct Admission and how does it help me?
Direct Admission through Match means you can receive real college admission offers based on your academic grades – no application, essays, or recommendation letters needed. It’s free, fast, and stress-free.
Does accepting a Direct Admission offer mean I have to enroll?
No. These offers are not binding. You can accept as many Direct Admissions offers as you’d like or decline them.
How do I get started with Peak Ed Direct Admission program?
Create a free profile here on the Match site and upload your transcript. For many students, your transcript will be accessible. If you do not have access to your transcript, your counselor can upload it for you. Add your school counselor’s information to your profile so that they can track your progress. From there, you’ll see guaranteed admission offers from colleges on October 20th that match your academic background. You decide which ones to explore!
Do I need to respond to my Direct Admission offers?
Yes. Stating your interest in the Direct Admission offers signals to the institution to process you as a fully admitted student to that college. They won’t be able to do this, if you don’t respond to let them know.
Are the Direct Admission offers through Match official?
Yes! These are real, verified admission offers from participating colleges. No additional application is required.
Will I get scholarships with my offer?
Many colleges include merit-based scholarships along with your Direct Admission offers. These vary by school, but the goal is to make college more affordable from the start.
Will I receive out-of-state offers?
If you’ve indicated interest in out-of-state opportunities for college then yes, you would receive out-of-state Direct Admission offers after receiving your in-state Direct Admission offers. Those offers will be released between November 17th-24th What if I miss the October 9th deadline? Students who complete their Match profile after the deadline should apply directly to the schools on their college list. How do I support students with the Peak Ed Direct Admission program?
No. These offers are not binding. You can accept as many Direct Admissions offers as you’d like or decline them.
How do I support students with the Peak Ed Direct Admission program?
Create an educator account on the Match site. Please note: because counselors are given access to sensitive student data, Match has a verification step. This verification can take 24 to 48 hours. These steps are outlined in a .pdf that you can download here (link). Once you have created your account, you can learn more information about next steps through the tutorials available in your account (Click the ? icon in the top right corner to access video tutorials).
How much time does it take to get students set up on Match?
Less than one class period. Students can complete their profiles in 15-20 minutes. We have step-by-step guided tutorial videos that are available to play in class or send to students directly.
Is there a deadline for students to submit their Match profile?
Yes! October 9th is the deadline to submit with transcripts included to be eligible to receive Direct Admission offers on October 20th. – If submitted by Nov. 1st students will receive all in-state and out-of-state offers between November 17th-24th – If submitted after Nov. 1st students will receive all in-state and out-of-state offers between December 22nd-29th
Can my students still create a Match profile if they’ve applied directly to a participating college?
Yes, a student should still create a Match profile. If they’ve applied directly to a participating Match college, the student should indicate this when prompted in their Match profile creation.
Can my students still apply directly to colleges that are NOT participating in the Peak Ed Direct Admission Initiative?
Yes, absolutely. Match is designed to expand choices, not limit them. Students can apply directly to any college in addition to using Match.
How will I know which students received Direct Admission offers?
After creating an account, counselors have access to a dashboard with real-time insights. You’ll see who’s submitted their Match profile, who’s received offers and scholarships, where they’ve been admitted, and how students are responding. Students will have to add their counselor’s name on their profiles for counselors to get access to student direct admission data.
What information should my students include for best results?
Students should complete their full profile, including a transcript with three years of grades to be eligible, preference section, and academic interests. The more detail, the better and strong test scores being added can result in additional scholarship awards.
