2022-23 Scholarships




 


  • Reminder: If you apply to the scholarships below, let Ms. Rainey know (Report them HERE).

  • Research your own scholarships using MaiaLearning, Goingmerry.com, Unigo.com or other scholarship search engines.

  • Everyone can use feedback. Submit your scholarship essays to Ms. Jasmine Rainey at jasmine@peakedu.org. Put them in a Google Doc before sharing them. Try to do this AT LEAST 1 week (preferably 2 weeks) before the deadline.


 

QuestBridge Scholarship

Amount: Full Ride at partner colleges

Deadline: September 27, 2022

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A high school senior

  • In top 5-10% of class

  • Financial Need

  • See all requirements HERE.

Criteria:

  • An outstanding academic record in high school

  • Evidence of strong writing ability, intellectual spark, and determination.

After you complete your application, you will have the chance to rank up to 10 colleges; make sure you rank them in order of interest because if you match with a college, you're committing to go there and have the QuestBridge scholarship fully cover your tuition!


There are a lot of pieces to this application; so, if you have questions, email Ms. Rainey. Prioritize writing the essays and short responses (including the short sentences) NOW. Make sure you submit everything to Ms. Rainey for feedback at least 1-2 weeks before the deadline.



 


Daniels Fund

Amount: up to $100,000 ($25k per year)

Application Period: September 15 - October 15, 2022 Learn more HERE. Eligibility Requirements:

  • A high school senior from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming

  • Citizen or permanent resident of the United States

  • 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

  • Minimum 490 SAT Math and minimum 490 Evidence-Based Reading & Writing; or a minimum 18 ACT in each category (writing score not required). Super scoring is not accepted.

  • Demonstrate financial need ($85,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)

Criteria:

  • Strength of character

  • Leadership potential

  • Commitment to serving their communities

  • Academic performance or promise

  • Well-rounded personality

  • Emotional maturity and stability

START THIS SCHOLARSHIP ASAP IF YOU'RE ELIGIBLE. The process has changed this year. You'll need to complete the initial application by 10/15. If you make it to the semifinalist stage, you'll be invited to submit essays between 10/24 and 11/15. Let Ms. Rainey know if you make it to the semifinalist stage so that you can get help with your essays!

 

U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts

Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline: October 14, 2022 @10 pm MT

Eligibility Requirements:


  • In Grades 10-12, or 15-18 years of age

  • U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents

  • Demonstrate talent in the visual, literary, and performing arts

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale

  • Must first apply to YoungArts’ national arts competition (Competition winners at the Finalist level who attend National YoungArts Week are considered for nomination by their respective discipline-specific panelists based on their artistic achievement and participation in the program)


 

College JumpStart Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Deadline: October 17, 2022

  • 10th-12th graders

  • U.S. citizen or legal resident

  • Plan to attend an accredited 2-year, 4-year, vocational, or trade school in the US

Criteria: Hard work

  • Perseverance

  • Love of learning


 

Heisman Scholarship (if you’re an athlete, do this!)

Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline: October 18, 2022 @4pm MT

  • High school senior who participates or has participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee (see the full list here)

  • Minimum weighted GPA 3.0

  • Demonstrate leadership in school and in the community


 

Coca Cola

Amount: $20,000

Deadline: October 31, 2022 @ 3 pm MT

  • Current high school senior

  • U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees

  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution

  • Minimum GPA 3.0

Criteria:

  • Capacity to lead and serve, and commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities


 


Voice of Democracy Scholarship

Amount: $1,000-$35,000

Deadline: October 31, 2022

  • High school students

  • Lawful U.S. permanent residents or have applied for permanent residence

Audio Essay Judging Criteria:

  • Originality (30 points)

  • Content (35 points)

  • Delivery (35 points)

 

Boettcher

Amount: Full Ride

Deadline: November 1, 2022 @ 5 pm (application opens on September 1)

  • Colorado high school senior who has lived in Colorado for full junior and senior years

  • Citizen, legal permanent resident, or lawfully present in the United States

  • * SAT/ACT scores are optional for the class of 2022.

Criteria:

  • Superior scholastic ability and intellectual curiosity

  • Evidence of leadership and involvement

  • Service to community and school

  • Outstanding character


 

Greenhouse Scholars

Amount: $20,000 (four-year, renewable scholarship of $5000 per year)
